I like using colors from the same family or paint card - painting the bedroom one color from the card and the bathroom a slightly darker or lighter color from the same paint card...looks very nice to see that small contrast as you look from one room to the next.

Get a color palette with colors that compliment each other, and chose from them for both rooms or accessories in one room matching color in the other.

you can paint it the same color, but use dirrerent accents such as towels, etc....
but, INO, the colors, no matter what you choose should compliment each other

green, tans, golds, yellows, etc.

I dont think for example the bedroom should be purple and the bathroom red....
that would not look good,

but, think about the colors that YOU like after all, you are the one looking at it.

I have an apartment so its not that big so I make all my colors compliment each other....from one room to another......

lets see some pictures.......

Thanks.
My in-laws painted their house in a peach tint paint. When the sun hit it, it was intense. So with that said, be careful of how deep a peach tint. Paint a sample on the wall and see how it looks when the sun brightens the room.

I wouldn't paint a bedroom in peach, so yes, I agree with you there.

Well, you can always use different colors, for example, if it were me, I would use peach for the bathroom, and light green color for the master bedroom. The color combination is fun though, you can also use blue, white, etc.

OP,
I spent over 30 years as a decorating contractor and dealt with this issue many times and never had an issue doing same color, complimentary color, or contrasting color. Do what ever you choose. Your call. There is no rule. If you're happy with the end result, it is the right choice.

Choose a restful color for your bedroom (baby blue, turquoise, etc.) Paint the master bath whatever color you want (should be complimentary if bold, otherwise anything is okay).

Actually that's only half right. Paint at least a 2'X2' area on opposing walls. Check it periodically during the day (preferably a sunny day)- to see how the color changes throughout the day. Then look at it at night with regular indoor lighting (ceiling light/lamps etc.- as would normally be in the room).

Depending on the degree of color change during the course of a day can be rather enlightening- you may find yourself going- "why the Hell did I pick THAT color!"

Several years ago I specifically was looking for that "green-gold" and found it. During the day it was a light/medium sage green- the evening/incandescent lighting gave it a gold tone. Worked great with the decor.
