Hey Julia! Sorry, I'm just seeing this!

If you did go with the Tommy Hilfiger duvet I think the light pink would work just fine.

As far as Pottery Barn goes, check Ebay...I bought a duvet from PB off Ebay & it wasn't flawed in any way!

I would ask the teens for an advice and opinion - they have to live there! You might modify it later, find the right fabrics, colors and quality items, but the ideas should come from your kids, because you can put into all your heart and they might be just ... disappointed.

Thank you, everybody, for the advice. I did show her several pictures and ask her which one she liked the best. She liked the green Roxy Vivid duvet with the yellow polka dots, so I ordered it. It showed up yesterday, and it's not yellow at all. The dots are an odd, pale green (the description even SAYS yellow!). I don't know what sheets will match this. I considered buying the matching sheets, but they only come in XL twin, and she has a regular twin bed.

Grrr. Not happy.

I have two boys, so not as many options as there are for girls. However, I have always had good luck with the selections from JCPENNEY. they have lots of colors etc. everything has held up really well.
