Desperately need help with my living/dining/kitchen area in a New York apartment. The ideal would be to have a dining table, a kitchen island, and a seating/tv viewing area (with a sofa bed or daybed for guests). However, I'm not sure all three will fit. Does anyone have any ideas? That blob in the lower half of the picture is my current table, but it can stay or go. Dimensions are in inches.

That depends. Are you installing a new kitchen or simply planning to buy a floating island?

Here is a suggestion. Of course this was drawn with no furniture measurements. This is just an idea. I would look at places like IKEA that offer furnishings on a smaller scale.

Another option would be to purchase a large bar height style table and use it as an island and dining table.
