I just looked at the measurements of the rug and it says 7'6 by 9'6. I have pushed the couches together as much as possible to still have leg room in front of the coffee table, but when I measured between the couches I need at least a 10'6 rug to get all 4 legs on with a few inches left.
Which rug?
How wide is your coffee table? Maybe we need to reconsider keeping it.
Also, please give me the measurements of one chesterfield.

That is a big don't for your room. Look at the picture of your friend's room and imagine it if the carpet wasnt' the right size.
Your chesterfields are too elegant to do it halfassed. Take your time to find the right rug. Don't rush it. We're not going anywhere.

Then you won't have any room for other furniture arrangements in your room. You room has the potential to have little vignettes---a seating area on one side, a small desk with shelves on the other side. If you push the sofas too far apart, you won't have room for much else. It won't seem finished.
The coffee table is 29 inches across. The couch is about 6 feet long from leg to leg and 7 ft long if counting from end of armrest to end of armrest. About 42 inches/3.5 ft wide.
I think I like the 2nd one best and 8'3 works fine. Thank you!
