I read somewhere that what someone hangs over their bed is a true expression of themselves. My wall is blank. LOL! I just got done putting the room together furniture wise and now on to the task of adding artwork and accessories. Nothing has really jumped out at me so far and now I am thinking that statement is true. I have thought about finding various vintage picture frames and hanging them or a collection of mirrors. I dunno, seems kind of boring when I think about it.
The dried floral is a violation? Yikes. Am I violating the feng or the shui? Is there an antidote? A small pile of rocks topped with a few chicken feathers, sitting in an Eastern window? Two mirrors facing each other to reflect the reflection of the reflected? Do I need to add more feng or more shui?
I also have a window over my bed, which is opposite the door. Bad feng and shui. I'm thinking about moving things around just for kicks, but I don't think I want ANYTHING on the wall above my headboard. I'm in CA too and always heard that was a bad idea, plus I'm not a fan of "stuff on the wall". I like a a simple, clean look.

I grew up mostly in Southern California. I would be uncomfortable with anything above my bed because of earthquakes. Even though I don't expect an earthquake where I live now, it would make me uncomfortable.
We have a 24" X 48" picture of Betsy Ross and others doing sewing on 13 star flag, has gone house to house for over 25 years, very pleasant picture with fireplace in background.
Well, my apartment is kinda small, so the Window seat ( which is, very deep) is transformed into a window BED. So it leaves me with the options of small things XD. I hang three little clocks. One for hong kong time, one for time in France and one for the time in new York city.
Interesting question. I have a large colorful watercolor that my mother gave me after I repeatedly expressed admiration for it. I was surprised when she offered it to me. But I took it home and later had it very nicely framed. The watercolor is unusual for the amount of color in it and those blues and greens dictate the color scheme of the bedroom.
It is a very handsome picture. I'm very fond of it.
