I noticed microfiber sheets at the store a few weeks ago.

I figured they would feel hot, like my skin wouldn't breath because they're not natural fibers and tightly woven.

I didn't buy any. They were super cheap, which also indicated to me that they weren't less than desirable.

Has anyone bought them? What do you think of them?

Microfiber sheets are like just about any other kind. Good ones are AWESOME but poorly-made, cheaper ones are just so-so.

You might look into bamboo sheets. Even cheap ones are great. I've bought both cheap bamboo sheets and moderately-prices ones and I'll never use any other kind.

I too kept noticing microfiber sheets at Ross. They were super cheap, and I kept debating if I should try them. I finally did buy a set for my daughter's apartment- I think it was like $15.99 for a Queen Set (2 pillow cases.2 sheets)... I have not slept on them, but she said they are totally fine and she has used them and washed them.
I still keep thinking there is something "off" about them, but I might just try a set for me. $15.99 is very attractive...calling my name...

The thing I would worry about is that they would get smelly after a couple of nights. Synthetic fibers retain the slightest odor, in my experience. I have a very sensitive sniffer, though.

stick with cotton or bamboo. I bought a nice microfiber set at costco for my son and he gets so hot in them that we can't use them. Usually costco sheets are fabulous, but I'll pass on anything microfiber

My daughter wanted microfiber sheets, so I bought them, but they pilled really badly the first time we washed them. They were the cheaper kind from the grocery store.

Thanks for the comments. I plan to stick with cotton and bamboo. Natural fibers are best, especially for sleeping.

I haven't bought sheets, but I did buy a microfiber comforter. It's been washed several times and its colors are rapidly fading.
I'm sure the sheets are hot. 100% cotton works best.

Microfiber has a lot of static in the winter.

Microfiber is polyester and perhaps some polyamide (nylon) which sounds horrid, and I prefer natural fabrics. Why would I want to sleep cuddled in plastic?
