Hi...can anyone give me some input on paint colors

I have a very OPEN home, and have been living in this home for approx. 1.5 yrs. When moving in the home was a very strong terracotta, which we painted to a Shake Beige, which is nice, but after 1.5 and the house being extremely light, the color is very bland.

We have Simone Drapes from pottery barn in our living room and would like to paint the living room some color to make the drapes pop, and the house feel less pale. We also would like to paint our two story (very light) foyer something other than "shaker Beige" because as I mentioned it can appear very light and plain. I love the traditional clean colors. I love biege, but not ones that have an orange undertone...

Someone suggested "Bagel" from SW, also Camelback? but I am so nervouse to make a costly mistake, and the house is very difficult to paint, I do not want to being going thru this in another year or so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pleae post a couple of pictures of the room and drapes, so we get a sense of what you are dealing with.

SW Bagel is one of my go-to neutrals, it always works in a home, whether the home is modern or traditional, and it plays nicely with other colors.
Unless your drapes are gray, which I doubt, Bagel will work.

I have used a color called water chestnut. I reads tan online, but on the wall it is a muted subtle green. I don't remember what brand of paint it was, probably SW.
