We tried Benjamin Moore and it sucked. Dries too fast and gets overlap streaks. Now Dunn Edwards went on fantastic, flowed evenly and looks terrific.

You usually get what you pay for. The top of the line Valspar will probably be better than the lower end Benjamin Moore.

My painter uses BM exclusively and he's awesome, so that does mean something to me. I know another painter that swears by California. At some point, you can't go wrong. I will say my rooms look amazing with BM paint.

We used Benjamin Moore in our first house, and use it here too!

Sometimes, the weather has alot to do with paint flow I've discovered. Get some "float-all" (I think that's what it's called). It's a paint "thinner" and it works better than water to thin your paint if it's drying too fast while you are painting. I've even had the Dunn Edwards paint do some strange things and they told me about the float-all.

I tried many brands, and I am now exclusive with Benjamin Moore.

I think, Painting is one of the fastest, easiest, and cheapest ways to add real value to your home. Painting is one of the easiest and most economical ways to spruce up your home, inside or out.
Top 5 Best Paint Brand
Benjamin Moore
Sherwin-Williams
Behr
Dutch Boy
Glidden
And I was used this paint brand for my home and I think so you can use it.

My painter recommended Sherwin-Williams, and I chose the Harmony label (low-VOC) which went on true to shade versus my experience with Behr. The coverage was great with just one coat (over primer) using medium shades from the swatch.

Our last house was painted with Benjamin Moore. This house is painted with Sherwin Williams. Benjamin Moore is hands down the better paint for coverage and washability. You can't even go back and touch up with SW paint. It doesn't match itself.

^^^ Hmmm, that's interesting. I've had to repaint two walls in two separate rooms when I decided to swap some art/framed pictures around in the house. I had no such issue with Sherwin Williams and the finish looks great with no shade differentials. Perhaps as with many things it's improved considerably since one last used it umpteen years ago.

I just painted the entire interior of my home with Behr paint, which is my favorite paint. We then hired a painter to paint the outside and his paint of choice was also Behr. The results are amazing, so I'll stick with Behr.
