I have that same dresser too! But mine is the gray/brown and used more as a buffet/storage piece in another part of the house and there is a cut out above it, so no place for a mirror or picture. That mirror just doesn't seem right. The wood grain and style seem more wrong to me than simply the lighter shade.

It's not 80's oak, it's that reclaimed wood look that people pay so much for at Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware.

I'm not going to do it, but it's more like this in finish. Not 80's oak AT ALL.
