Generally, the cheapest granites are gray, followed by brown and pink. However, on the high end of the price spectrum, the most expensive colors are generally blue and red, with Blue Bahia being the most expensive overall.
I was wondering, what is the reason for blue and red granite to be so expensive? Is it due to their rarity, or is it due to demand?
Rarity and place of origin generally control the price of granites. Like anything else, if there's tons of it available in a readily accessible area, it's going to be cheap- if there's not a lot of it and it's not easy to get to, you're going to pay a premium for it.
