Hello! We are closing on a house in Florida soon and need some ideas on granite colors that will go with white cabinets and the tile that's in the house. The kitchen will be painted a neutral light tan color.

With the black appliances I would go with a black tone granite or a tan with black specks. I don't know the 'official" names of the colors, sorry. I think black would look best though.

The impression that I get from the small photo is a home that is kind of soft and airy. If might go with a granite that has those same qualities and look for caramel, rust, and brown tones. If you want to change the look to something a little edgy you can go with the high contrast darker tones.

The good news is that with mostly white appliances and white cabinets you can get away with pretty much anything. If you are not changing the flooring, keep that in mind when you look at samples. The floor color is the dominate color in the space right now. Make sure to try to tie it in as you make your selection. Congratulations on your new home. I hope you love it.

Black granite got beaten to death here in Florida in the last decade.
Every other house has it.
