We have always been satisfied with Broyhil. Although we have a large, micro-fiber sectional, they make smaller sofas and pieces, with ottomans. We bought a nice blue and other colors were red, sage, and tan. Microfiber is great, as we also have a dog. Cleans beautifully.

Check out Lay-Z-Boy. Their sofas are nice, relatively inexpensive, and are customizable.

What a coicidence! I saw a Broyhill apt size sofa that was nice, but I think I know what I'll get:
