I'm horrible at picking colors, and I'm chosing colors for an entire house. I'm totally not color coordinated. I've been made fun of because colors I think look good together actually clash, so I repainted my last house in only neutral. This time I want some color instead of nothing but boring beige, so I'm asking opinions before I paint.

Let's start with the guest room first.

This room is very small. It doesn't have any architectural features. It's just 4 walls with a beige tile floor. The bedding and accessories have burnt orange, brown, and dark red in them, and a little bit of green. I don't want brown or red for a wall color. What color should I paint the walls that will make the room look a little bigger and won't clash with the bedding? And should I go with one accent wall, or all walls the same color? If one accent wall, should the other walls be white?

Thank you!

Oooh, there are so many options...!!!

Does the room get much natural light? Is it morning or afternoon light? You will need to take that into consideration before you choose your paint color.

If the room is naturally bright, a moss green accent wall, with deep cream other walls and soft white trim might look really good - with a deep red accent pillow pulling that red pop out of the bedding. Deep red and moss green look really good together.

If the room is naturally sort of dark, I would go with deep rich warm tan on the walls with white trim and pull the colors of the bedding out in a large, colorful painting or print above the bed.

Just some ideas!

the tan appeals to me too if used only on main wall, or a nice burgundy.

I'm going through the same thing with the house we're buying. It has plenty of natural light; but I want some color to it.
