In the right space it could be quite distinctive but I suspect the longer term utility / cleanliness of it gives it limited appeal. Un-peeled twigs / branches tend to break down...

That is super cool. Good for coats, hats, scarves, leashes.

Could you spray it with some type of clear coat to harden/ preserve it? It looks cool.

Actually I don't have this in my house but would love to. Our home is arts and crafts and I think it would fit in. I found this picture and wanted to share. I think it is probably made by an artist and for sale. I'll try to find where I saw it. I think it could be made fairly easily if the wood was properly treated.

I found it here:http://www.etsy.com/shop/cantileverandpress

Coat racks always look cool in pictures with a scarves decoratively hanging on them. In real life, they always look messy!

I love it! My daughter has four kids under age 10. I sent her this picture because we were just talking TODAY about how she needs something like this by her back door. Thanks for sharing this!

That really is cool. I'd want white birch, crepe myrtle or some other decorative branches if I were going to make one. I think if it's sealed it would stay clean and last a long time. It certainly would be a conversation piece. It wouldn't go with my "decor" but it would be very cute out on the deck where I could hang bar-b-tools (nice and high where the dogs can't reach them), or something off of it. Thanks for sharing!
