Yes, that's a classic combination, but what does the rest of the house look like? What style is the rest of the house and what year was it built? Other colors in the house? Same floors in the rest of the house? Open floor plan or a separate room?

As was mentioned above there are a lot of threads (especially within the last two weeks) on white kitchens. However as I understand it you're asking if the colors and materials will fit with the rest of your house, correct? You haven't told us what the rest of the house looks like, so start there and/or provide pictures.

The kitchen you're describing, in my opinion, would work best in a transitional interior with similar colors throughout the house. It might work in a contemporary or historic, traditional house with a few tweaks in the style of the cabinet doors, hardware, sinks, appliances, and backsplashes. It may not work if the rest of your house has tons of woodwork in another color or a house will a lighter and bright palate or completely different flooring. More information is needed to give better feedback. Thanks

I think your idea sounds great.

Can you describe the rest of your house? What about it makes you uncertain about how it will look in your house?

Though usually available in laminate or thermofoil more expensive custom cabinets can be ordered in a painted white or cream finish with distressed or glazed details.

I personally dislike your combination, but my opinion does not matter!

It is your house - do what YOU like!

Here are my two cents. I would go with a whitish granite instead of black.

If you like it, go for it. Only suggestion I would make is to go for solid wood cabinets if you can. That way they can be repainted if you decide you need a change. I have seen laminate cabinets painted, but the degree of success varied from OK to OMG.
