Hey Guys, I took some measurements today and drew how the skylight and the well are. It might make more sense now, if you compare with the cabinet drawing I attached to first post. So what do you think of having cabinets going all the way under the well? I think it's weird.

My architect said he is inclined to leave one side of the well slanted and the other square. What do you guys think?

You have at the top, what I was suggesting you do at the ceiling level... to what ever size ceiling opening you wish. It also seems as if you already have a plastic difuser in place, which as can be seen from your photo, is removable.
