I just bought this bedding and am putting it on a bed that is dark cherry. I am wondering what color to paint my walls. Any ideas?

The main color is more of a khaki than it looks. I also have a master bath attached to the room so I would like to find a paint for in there that will flow with this room.

Take the light color of the spread and get a paint a bit darker or lighter of the same shade.

Or if you are bolder do the rust color of the small pillow on the headboard wall.

I agree with this totally! And that rust color on the headboard wall would be terrific.

At my last house I painted the kitchen rust when I remodeled in 2009 ... the cabinets were a glazed ivory on most walls with a deep green on one, the counter was a deep sage granite, and the floors were light brown/etc. tile. The rust went with EVERYTHING beautifully -- in fact, when I remodel my current kitchen in a few years, I'm going to use the same colors again, if I can still find them all!

So I second the above.

I like to take into consideration the wall color of the hall that presumably your room opens off of. What color do you want to see when you open the door? I think you have a lot of latitude with a master, because, IMO, it can be totally different from the other rooms in the house, if you want it to be.

But it still needs to relate somehow to the adjoining hall or room it opens off of. With a khaki color you can go in any direction you want to. I do like the idea of matching the bedspread, or making the color slightly lighter. I've done that in a room that had all mismatching furniture. Having the spread match the wall color made the room seem more unified.

One of the interesting things I saw last summer when I was looking at homes, was a bedroom done in deep, deep blue. I loved it! So I painted my bedroom a lovely medium deep blue. I just love sleeping there. Soon I hope to add some great linens, but I've hung art in there, and it all goes well. The color I chose does look quite nice when seen from the hallway.

I think a deeper tone is especially nice if you have nice white trim to enhance it.

Whatever you do, good luck!
