Why must you remind me of the lovely northeast humidity and how, since I am against blow drying my hair, it takes hours and hours to dry? (That, and the towels in the bathroom of course.)

Who said I was talking about bath towel? After the shower it's "put your lotion all over your body while your skin is still wet" routine, no towel needed, of course. But maybe you do wipe your hands once in a while .
But it's completely off-topic.

Aint that the truth. Forced air heat makes it even worse in the winter.

1. I used to want a 2 story Colonial with a majestic staircase, but the older I get and the pain I have in my knees from doing aerobics back in the 80's, I am happy with my rambling ranch one story. Two stories, especially with the Master upstairs would be a big deal breaker. Maybe a basement for storage but no Colonials or split levels.

2. Any sign that water had gotten into the house from poor drainage would be a big red flag. Also, house with structural problems from being on fill land or poor grading would be a no no!

While I hate formica or tacky floors, if the price is right, those can be changed out. Location is a big priority IMHO.

They're unsafe only if you neglect to slide the door open before you attempt stepping through the doorway.

Well, we could also affix some stickers, but that wasn't what I was referring to. I think they're too easy to gain access, even if you slide something in the track.
