I would like to hear from anyone who used cabinetstogo.com or IKEA for their Kitchen remodel. I would be interested in how you came to your decision and how do you feel about the kitchen after using it. Any suggestions or lessons learned would be great.
We are planning a kitchen remodel, but we are kind of feeling overwhelmed with all the choices and decisions that are involved in a kitchen remodel.
They are both RTA cabinets (ready to assemble). I personally would not use them for my kitchen. I'm just not a fan of RTA's and I prefer a plywood box cabinet that is assembled. This is my opinion.
There are a lot of posts if you use the search option discussing this very thing.
Personally, I think the Ikea cabinets are okay for certain people or situations. I have a tiny kitchen, this is a starter apartment and putting in an expensive kitchen is really not worth it.
In the would we live in today there are cabinets that are fully assembled and made in the US that are less money that Ikea and you still have to put them together. I'm just saying.
I just called Ikea today about countertops and was told they only come in 6 and 8 foot lengths. Can't order anything larger. What a waste of time. Never used them before, guess I never will.

??? Just cut countertop to size that you need.
