my living room design does not allow me to put lamps on my sofa table, and i don't want to add an electrical outlet i the middle of the room because i have wooden floors. where can i buy lamps that don't need electricity, please? thanks

There are conversion kits to make a lamp battery powered for these types of situations. You can buy them too. Just do a search for battery powered table lamps. Here's what I found. Modern Lantern | Battery Operated Table Lamps | The Rechargeable Lamp
