Sounds like there's more issues than color.
No one should decorate a bedroom because people won't see it? That's pretty ridiculous logic... Is your bedroom completely bare?

I was not trying to start a controversy or imply that there was anything wrong with decorating a bedroom, just asking a question because I seriously wanted an explanation. Now that I see how some people spend time in the bedroom with daylight or lights on it makes more sense to me.
