Has anyone use Benjamin Moore Alkyd paint? Any problems? I am using it on oak cupboards and so far so good. Is it durable, long lasting, wipeable?

But to make it look right requires many coats of primer to fill the grain in oak- and spraying gives a much smoother finish.

OP,
You will find that the light colors in solvent borne alkyds such as Moore Satin Impervo tend to yellow quickly since the EPA mandated reformulations. The Moore Advance, a water borne alkyd, is much better in that respect but considerably more prep is needed. Both require significant prep to minimize chipping or peeling.

Thanks I'm using a dark charcoal color of the Moore Advance. Sanded the wood lightly, cleaned it with tack cloth and then denatured alcohol. Applied it very thinly. It is looking great. I like the grain of the wood showing through. So far so good.
