I'm thinking of doing a Black and White master bedroom with gold accents (lamps, pillows, artwork etc).
What do you think of a teal/turquoise wall color?
I think silver or stainless would be safe but gold and brass accents really make a black, white, and grey color-scheme feel very classy.
Personally though, with black and white, I think it looks best with very, very light walls. Think "Calm" or "Glacier White" by Benjamin Moore. Then black, white, and grey decor. At that point, using ALL stainless steel or silver for your metals becomes too cold and bland but the gold metals warm it up and add a touch of sophistication.
Colored walls with black and white decor is tricky. Blues and greens tend to work well but still, they can come off hokey at times.

Great ideas! I think the gold will make it look a little more high class. I also like Tiffany Blue. I wish there was a good simulator site so we can know exactly how everything will look.
I love teal. May I make a suggestion? Buy yourself some large art paper and purchase a few samples of shades of teal and paint each piece of the paper with one of the shades and tape the paper to the walls in the bedroom moving it around every few days in different light. That has always worked great for me in choosing the exact right color of paint for a room and I am really choosey about paint colors.
one other suggestion...in addition to gold looking good with black and white, natural wood also really warms up the space with a grey or black/white scheme.
