I actually think there's a good chance that the modern black/white sofa you ordered will work with your green walls, depending on the shade of green. If your current walls are too olive, you might repaint a slightly different shade of green - more of a kelly and less olive. Here's some inspiration on modern/sleek looking living rooms that have green walls: Inspiration, or this or this one with a sleek white sofa. This one looks a bit closer to your current wall color.

The cute little stools are adorable. In fact, I just ordered one after seeing that link!

The zebra high-heel chair is too much, though. Sorry, but it looks like something from a sorority house to me.

How about a sleek leather chair in black or white? Something like this or this

My advice would be to keep the sofa you ordered. Wait until it's been delivered, then re-evaluate the paint color. You might need to tweak the paint color slightly.

Alternately, you could cancel the sofa and get a different, simpler looking one - I'd go for solid white or possibly grey. Keep the sofa monochromatic though - it'll look sleeker.

My own style is a mix of sleek/modern/minimalist and Hollywood Regency, so this is a very fun thread for me!

Let me know how you like the little stools once you get them Maybe you could post a pic or two~ I love the 2 leather chairs you posted but people said I needed to incorporate more green and less black and white , so maybe I should go with green chairs? I agree that the zebra chair is too much, it actually does look tacky Love the "Inspiration" look you posted! I definitely don't want the living room to look like a dorm room. I love everything modern, minimalist, a bit of retro, boho & vintage as well!

Thinking about this chair for the dining room. I could get them in Green or white, I'm leaning more towards the white though.

Here's the green Limeade Tabouret Stacking Chairs (Set of 4) | Overstock.com Shopping - Great Deals on Dining Chairs and here's the white White Tabouret Stacking Chairs (Set of 4) | Overstock.com Shopping - Great Deals on Dining Chairs to get this kind of look :

Me too.

DCmum, I'm looking forward to seeing pics when you get some pieces in the room.

Thanks. What do you think about the dining room chairs? Should I go with the white ones?

I stopped by the condo while they are changing the carpet and was able to get a quick photo. You can have a better idea of the wall color now, it's a bit lighter than the first pic I previously posted

You can totally do that black and white sofa in there, in my opinion. Just tie it in with some touches of olive green and black around the room - and white of course. I think that color scheme is striking.
