These stores carry name brand goods for less. I have purchased nice draperies and bedding from these stores:

Ross Dress For Less
T.J. Maxx
Home Goods

Lowe's has some nice draperies.

I agree with another poster - JCPenny has some nice curtains and draperies. I have purchased most of my rods and a few curtains there.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I just bought one set here:

BedBathStore.com - Search

Those will be for the office. There still are many rooms that I need to get curtains for.

Pier One has some oversized panels and they sell panels separately rather than in pairs. Some of them are 100 inches long, I think.

Also, check out eBay, believe it or not. I got all my kitchen curtains from eBay for a fraction of the cost new.

You can also use thread-free hemming stuff and sheets and those clippy hanging things and you won't need anything but a pair of scissors and a measuring tape!

I bought tablecloths at Target and used clip rings to hang them. I actually really like them and some were perfect length and others were super easy to hem, just sewing a straight line. And you could always just use the seam tape if you don't sew.

I never thought of a table cloth, that's a great idea. I have used decorative towels for a window in a bath though. Super simple to just fold over to perfect length and use the café curtain rings.
