Just wondering- How do you replace tile with laminate? Is it best to remove tiles first?
I'm just curious as to how that works.

Thanks.

Two choices-
1. Remove tile, install laminate.
2. Install laminate over tile.

Both methods have pros and cons-
In my professional opinion, depending where the tile is, tile can be a more durable product. And it can be spruced-up. I'll take site-finished hardwood over laminate any day; or engineered depending on budget.

OP are you talking about counters or about flooring? Two different issues, perhaps.

My two options:

1 - Remove tile; put down laminate.
2 - Remove tile; put down hardwood.

I would do the latter.
