Plaster is much better for a flood. Drywall needs to be torn out and replaced. Plaster doesn't.

I assisted removing tile like that, only pink and maroon. It was a nightmare. Honestly, the tile is basically sound and not that awful pink. You can make it work.

^^^agree. I like the yellow and black tile plus I prefer plaster walls. There is another thread above
in the interior design forum plus this one - once painted and fixed, it would be my dream kitchen.
Ohiogirl's links on the other post shows some great retro kitchens. Nothing wrong with yellow:

There are people who love homes and decor from the 40's - 70's. I've been looking to replace
a coffee table (mid-century) and the prices are sky rocketing.......homes from the same
period with original features will too.
