Deep Cushions (leather, leather sofa, couch, quality)

Has any one bought or owned a very deep cushion sofa/couch? If so, what are the pros & cons?

Pros- lots of lounging area (or acreage- if you prefer)
Cons- short people can't sit back, or their feet don't touch the ground!

And older/unfit people might feel comfy but cant get out

We love our deep sofa and our deep sectional.
We are all tall, and it is nice to have something that fits US.

And I AM old, with arthritic knees, and I have no trouble getting out of them.

I DO have trouble getting out of low seating. Deep does not factor in at all.

They are dream (pun intended!) for napping!

I got deep cushions with thick back cushions. The back cushions drive me nuts because they are too thick and you feel like you're being pushed out of the seat cushions that you're simultaneously sinking into. Definitely check the back cushions.

Other than that, I love deep cushions.

My leather sofa from Restoration Hardware is great for our Den/TV room.

Pros: two people can snuggle on the couch comfy
Cons: some tend to sag if not a quality made sofa.
