lol, I don't know, sometimes when I, um, use the facilities, I can barely stand to stay in the bathroom long enough afterward to wash my hands , so having the toilet in its own room would be great!! This happens especially after a meal of bean burritos.

When I was around 6, my 2 sisters and I lived in a 2-bedroom house with our mom (who was a widow). One bathroom. My mom married a man who had 2 girls, then he got custody of them. So it was my parents plus 5 girls in a 2-bedroom house with 1 bathroom. (I fondly remember the kids' bedroom -- 2 sets of bunk beds plus 1 single bed. It was kinda fun to share a room with so many sisters!) We lived at that house for a couple of years before moving to England and getting Air Force housing (1.5 bathrooms), and maybe I was just too young so I'm not remembering correctly, but I don't recall there being any "bathroom" issues in that house.

I have more bedrooms & bathrooms than I need at my current house, but I bought it for the neighborhood and the land and the beautiful, beautiful lot ... the house happened to come with them. My ideal would be 2 bathrooms.

I guess I look at bathrooms as a convenience. My wife and I have a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath house. All 3 bedrooms are on the second floor so 2 bathrooms are up there. The half bath is on the main level. This is nice because if I'm upstairs, I can use the upstairs bath. If I'm downstairs, I can use the downstairs bath. We also have an unfinished basement that is already configured for another bathroom. We plan on finishing the basement and we will put a half bath down there as well. Again, all about convenience.

I need my OWN bathroom. I have been sharing a bathroom ever since August and it seriously makes me a negative person. And one of the reasons I will never live in a city with a high cost of living EVER AGAIN!!! (I am currently living in Denver). In costly cities the first thing that you have to share with others is a toilet and that is the thing I am least willing to share.
