We currently have a black GE gas range and it's easy to keep clean and hasn't had a single scratch in 10 years. If you like black, get black.

it's a Frigidaire, it's white, it's basic, it's big enough at 18CF ...all for $500.
Can't beat it.

Check with Lowe's. Ours are on sale now for $429.00. Add a 10% coupon and you are doing really good

Anyone have the newest KA or GE slide in range with black top? If so, any problems with it? Does it perform well? Does the black top scratch? Easy/hard to clean?

I'm looking for reviews on the Kitchenaid gas slide in range. I've heard mixed reviews about it. Anyone have a kitchenaid slide in gas range?

I have a slightly different version of this slide in range: Shop GE 30-in Smooth Surface 5-Element 4.4-cu ft Self-Cleaning with Steam Slide-In Convection Electric Range (Stainless Steel) at Lowes.com

While I thought about putting in gas when buying the range a year ago, I've been blown away by this electric range. While I'm not sure how their gas ranges are, I can definitely recommend their slide in electric ranges.

no.
Have Bosch. $2500 list price.
Works very well.
Not a fan of the "American style" look. Prefer very modern Euro.
