I've never had a cedar closet before. But in the new house I'm buying, the homeowners added a cedar closet in the basement. I would like to take full advantage of it since the master bedroom closet is small.

Where can I go online or in store to find organizers and shelving for it. What are some other things I need to do when having it?

I know some people love the smell of cedar, but, realize that smell of cedar gets into everything you place in the closet.

Tree pollen in the spring sets off my allergies every year. I own a beautiful 100 year old cedar chest and anything stored in the chest triggers my allergies - so everything stored in the chest has to be washed or sent to the cleaners before I can use it.

Before you spend money for shelving, be sure the interior of the cedar closet does not trigger an allergic response.
