Assistance with Trim colour selection-p11509682.jpg

Assistance with Trim colour selection-p1150966-copy.jpg

So, seeing that I'm having panic attacks over this (Whyyyyy) Here's the conundrum; what colour trim. The floor is making this very painful; if it was all blonde maple i'd just go with something super bold, but I don't want to fight with the floor and wall colours.

I greatly dislike solid creams and beiges, by the way.

There was some talk of a neutral colour...

I'm very partial to that colour.

The trim is nothing special... maybe paint it (and the outlet covers) the same color as the walls so it fades away.

That floor is gorgeous. It is a shame the wall color competes for attention.

The only issue with same coloured trim is it just looks cheap. Like, 1950's rental home cheap.

I'm very proud of the floor, and in somewhat agreement with the walls... In a perfect world I'd find something that works.

:::shrug:::
But that already looks like cheap trim... paint isn't changing that.

What about pulling a color from the floor and staining wood trim?

Fair enough on the trim... Part of the issue is I'm on a tight budget (Read as, I have $20 right now...) So that is what I have.

Very conflicting ideologies, I know, but workable (That floor, at just under 400 Sq. Feet, was $400, and is all solid hardwood... My paint costs have been $20, and rewiring the whole place was $100. The entire subfloor and floor joists are new as well...)

I would go with a dark brown trim in a tone that picks up the dark wood in the floor.

Paint the trim the same as the walls- just use a gloss finish.
Any other color will just stand out and say- HERE I AM!!!
