Normally, I can look at stuff and have no problem figuring out what to do or how to change it to suit my needs, but this time I'm stuck.

I'm stuck because I don't really know where I'd put it once it's finished into whatever I did with it.

I do need something for my foyer, so the shelves with baskets idea might work.

I'd love have bath/linen storage but I don't have the room for the piece where I'd need that storage to go.

hmmm.. I"m still thinkin'..

I'm gonna measure that empty space in the cabinet and then shop around for baskets. Maybe I can get a better idea of what it would look like that way.

A bar - wine bottles on racks on the open side, glassware in the enclosed side

By jove, I've got it.

I removed the glass door and I'm cutting it down to where the tv would sit and it will be either a bench which I need for my foyer, or a coffee table which I need for my family room. The top of the unit will be used as the top of the table or bench.

The space where the door was I'll find a basket to fit, or just leave it open. I'm not sure yet.

thank you all!

Great! Make it a barcart. Add some kind of rack to hang glasses in.

Penny suggested that too, but I already have a place to store liquor and glasses. We're not big wine drinkers either. My SIL's family are the only wine drinkers that we have over to visit and they own their own winery and are very particular.. ahem.

Besides, I already ripped the sides down to the cabinets. The glass door is off and I'm pretty sure it's going to end up being a coffee table for my family room.

I'll post a picture when it looks fairly presentable.

Kids seem to have fun smashing the glass when people put them out on the curb.
