There is a gap between the bottom/toekick part of new kitchen cabinets and the existing ceramic tile floor which I plan to fill-in via more tile, but even after I do that the tile won't be 100% flush with the cabinet, so I was wondering do I need scribe molding or filler to cover this small gap? Where would I purchase this? The cabinet manufacturer of my cabinets is out of business.
Could you have brougt the toe kick down a bit. We do this when the floor is out of level. If we have to bring this down too far we put a flat molding at the top to cover the gap. Some customers like to just grout between the toe kick and the tile.
Or you could use a shoe molding that is matched to the color or an accent color.
