I bought my condo about a year and a half ago and it has Brazilian cherry wood floors. It's the first home I've had that had wood floors, and I had no idea that they show every speck of dust there is!! I sweep every single day, vacuum about twice a week, and still it always seems dusty. I usually don't use the swifter, because it seems to just work the dust around without actually picking it up. Also, if you walk around in your socks, you leave footprints all over! I love the look and feel of my wood floors, but had no idea they were so hard to maintain.
Keep socks w a little water on them when you talk on the phone go over all the baseboards and floors. Easy peasy way to clean dog hairs. Lol
