I had these benches built for banquette style seating to save space. Now that it's almost complete I need a table! Need help finding right shape and color. Thanks!Round or square dining table-image.jpg

Something with a pedestal or inset base, or you'll be banging your knees a lot! I vote round since you have a lot of straight lines going on already.

Definitely what coastal chic said. You will have permenant bruises on YOUR legs if you don't get a pedestal. Round will soften up the space.

Without knowing the dimensions of the room, it's hard to say for sure. I agree with a more curved table to break up all the straight lines, but depending on dimensions, oval could work too. Definitely a pedestal table though.

Those benches look like they can easily accommodate two persons-

So, with a round table how are the persons sitting on the outside corners suppose to "eat AT the table"?

Square. You committed to linear shapes and a modern look in the benches and should stick with it. A round table would be out of place and also impractical for seating.

Except in this case, DO be a square!
