I need to refresh the grout around the floor tiles in my bathroom. I also have a stained toilet from hard water. I am on a sand mound and concerned about what chemicals NOT to use in my toilet to attempt to clean it, I've read about lemon, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, "Zep", "Lime Away", "CLR", etc. Any suggestions about how to refresh grout and the toilet? Any concerns about the sand mound? Thanks.
Go to HD or Lowes and pick up a pumice stone called Pumie scouring stick. Shut the water off and drain the toilet tank so there is no water in the bowl or at least below the level of the stain. Dip the stick about a half inch deep into some water and scrub the stain. It is ultra fine and will not damage the toilet and it is the only thing I have aver found that works better than CLR, bleach, vinegar etc. Can't help on the tile, I use beach and a scrubbing brush or if not very bad Oxiclean.
