If this were your house, what color would you paint the yellow gables? (See attachment.) Looking for some ideas.

Something bold, like a blue that compliments the red of the brick.

I kinda thought that also. But I wasn't sure about a greenish blue or a grayish blue. I thought a solid blue would be too bold or too dark. My wife likes gray and tan, but I thought that might be too plain...

Whatever color we choose, we are thinking about using the same color for the gables to paint the pots near the entrance.

If that brick is as red as it appears on my monitor, I'd want to tone it down a bit. I am thinking a dull dark green something like this:

jack pine 692 Paint - Benjamin Moore jack pine Paint Color Details

One good way to choose a color is to match the brick as best you can to a B. Moore color chip, and then key in the color and the Moore site will select two sets of combinations using accent colors. Its kind of fun to use, actually.

All I ever do is to key in the color name. You'll get the B.Moore site with the suggested colors. Like I said, its sort of fun.

I really don't mind the current color, but would probably want to darken it a bit.

I'd leave the yellow and paint the bricks a nice soft moss green color. Or paint the bricks a cream color and do the yellow as a soft blue.
