I just got one and it's really comfortable.

Granted you got pump it up every day a bit.

I am sleeping on one with a nasa foam on top and it's better than my 1k Simmons

Does anyone else sleep on an Aerobed full time?

No, but I've slept on one in the winter. They are cold. I suppose the foam insulates the cold Aerobed? Does it keep it too warm in summer?

I run warm so I kinda like it, although I saw a pretty nice mattress set at the store.

I slept with AC on but I like I can pull the foam off because that can heat up.

I always wanted a Select Comfort but couldn't stomach the price tag 2k.

I know. Mattresses and box springs have gotten way too expensive. And you can't count on them lasting as long as the old ones did, either.

But if you want a comfortable mattress, you will probably have to spend more than you want to get one.

I slept on one for several months while trying to figure out what kind of mattress I wanted to buy. I never had to pump it up and it was so comfortable that I seriously considered buying a frame for it and just using that as my bed.

I use to sleep on an air bed and then it sprung a leak and then I got a futon.... It's only for temporary use, not full time use... Unless it's a Sleep Number bed which is expensive and I hope you like repair bills....

We used an Aerobed when we first got married. Thank goodness for the warranty, because we went through three of them before breaking down and buying a real bed. They're not meant to be used every night.

Obviously not all air mattresses are created equal. I used mine for almost 4 months with no problems. And my daughter used it last year for more than 6 months. she has a bad back and said that the air mattress made her back feel so much better than a regular bed.

Maybe they're not meant to be used by newlyweds

So far our Sleep Number bed has had not issues. I hope that continues, because it is really comfortable.
