100% down is too soft for me. I've been going with down wrapped foam.

Now if hubby is allergic to down...........either get rid of it.........or try encasing the cushions.

Or benadryl?

Default Robert Michael down filled couch

So I just spent the morning pulling all the covers off the cushions and fluffing the down and thought to myself, I need someone to remind me, no matter how comfortable, I should NEVER buy a down filled couch again. Don't get me wrong, I love my Robert Michael sectional but I live in a one bedroom condo and this sectional belongs in a family room, not a living room. At least not a living room that you want to look clean and pulled together. I've had my sectional for almost 7 years and it is still in good shape, but it is high maintenance. I had mine special ordered with a tweed like fabric. If I could go back and do it again I'd pick a light color canvas or denim type material. I think it would help hold the shape better and have cleaner lines. All in all it really is the most comfortable couch I've ever owned, just wish I had a bigger house with a family room

I don't touch down cushions anymore after the last time I owned one. Thought it would be nice and we would just plump them every so often. Turns out that's not the case if you have kids haha! I switched to sofa foam and it's so much better. This is the service I used if it helps anyone - https://www.foamdirect.co.uk/replacement-sofa-cushions/
