Those are great! I always wondered if they named paint colors by matching up words from two columns on a piece of paper. For example, I bought a gallon of "Gilded Endive" at Lowes (kind of a lightly green-tinted cream). Really, who the heck would rationally think of gilding a vegetable in real life. BTW, I really liked the names for the black and red shades - hilarious!

What a riot. I've been guilty of buying a color because of its name....big mistake. I wonder who actually gets paid to name colors? It would be fun.
I've always wanted to name the streets in a housing development too.
