I agree, great for a kids room, or for someone who doesn't read much. But for any kind of serious reader, no.

You could do a tree if you wanted. But maybe make it a family tree instead of a bookshelf tree?

If you want your family to read - and having a love of reading is so important - provide functional bookshelves and comfy places to enjoy those books.
