I live on Long Island and need to have indoor stair railings installed. I don't even know who does this work. I have googled in my area and all I get are sites that show how to do it myself, which I am not about to do. Any ideas of what type of worker does this? Carpenter???? I don't want a handyman or a carpenter who dabbles in this type of work. I want a real stair guy that I can trust his work. I don't want my young children falling down the stairs because of a shoddy job.
If you have no friends or neighbors that have experience with professionals that specialize in "stairbuilding and millworking" you can use google. There are several firms that are come up as local to Long Island -- Remodeling Contractor, Stairs & Rails | Long Island, Central Islip, NY
