Just had wood tile installed in a new home we are building. It looks amazing. They installed it in random order and it's very close together, and the grout matches the tile color perfectly so you it truly looks like a wood floor. We decided on the wood/tile because it requires less upkeep then a wood floor. It most certainly will be colder on the bare feet, so ask me in December if I still like it.

Does the tile have grout lines, or does it fit tight together? Grout is a pain.
I would go with wood because of the sound muffling factor and the feel with bare feet. Although a bedroom does some have soft surfaces to muffle sound, and in AZ maybe a cold floor would feel good, I still can't get my head around a cold tile floor in a bedroom.

I would never want to get out of bed onto a tile floor.

Engineered hardwood floors here - throughout most of the house, except the kitchen/laundry room where we have travertine.

They are super easy to maintain.

Besides that, a bedroom isn't generally a high traffic area, so that's even less cause for misplaced worry about the upkeep.

Real wood just FEELS so much better (and sounds so much better) than tile that "looks like wood."

Wood floors are cool but not cold to the touch. They have more "give" than tile floors too so they feel better to walk and stand on in my opinion.

My wood floors were installed in 1875. I've got heart pine, chestnut, oak and walnut.

Refinished them 10 years ago. Couple of rugs here and there.

I don't give them a second thought.

They're all matte finished. None of that plastic-y look you see on some of these home improvement shows.

I'm in New England..........tile floors in bedrooms.........not here.

I can barely see the grout line in my tile that looks like wood. It just looks like a thin line that separates the pieces of tile.
