My husband and I bought a split-level home in June. We plan to reno the downstairs den/family soon. Right now, we've got ancient gray carpeting and olive-green paneling down there from the previous owners. I want to take all of that out and make it bright and light and child-friendly (so no white couches lol).

Post your family rooms! I need ideas!

I got a few ideas from there, but I'd like to see rooms that look like they are lived in by real people...

Can't repost the same pictures, so here's a link to a post which includes a few of my family room.

I just got new carpet installed throughout my split entry home on Monday. I'm still putting my house back together.

Here's our living/family room (we only have one living area because we turned our other one into an office).

You can scroll through my blog. You will get to the family room eventually.

Hmmm. No. I forgot. No FR pics there. These are during our transition. New family room chairs and couch, old tables. New dining set, old cabinets.
