Just the other day when making the beds it dawned on me it takes longer to add all those darn pillows and take them off at night, than it does to make the bed or get into bed. I am just about thinking of doing back to the old fashion bedspread with maybe just one sham on each side. That I can handle. Does anyone else have a better idea and feel the same way or is it just an old lady getting cranky?
Anyone else tired of decorator pillows on the beds?
Yes. Me!
They have no purpose. They take over the bed for no reason, and need to be put away at night. Then put back on when a bed is made.
Useless junk. I don't care for, and I don't have it in my house!
Same with sofa pillows. They sit there, and take all the sitting space. I don't know who had the "brilliant" idea, and "invented" them...
I never understood decorative pillows. Having said that, we do have two pillows on our bed that match the comforter, that we do not use for sleeping. But they are full-sized regular pillows, not small decorative ones. We DO use them to sit up and watch TV or read when we are in bed.
My mom puts about 8-12 of those decorative pillows on each of the beds in her house, and they drive me nuts when we go to visit. *lol*
Now, SOFA pillows - we use those. They get used every day in our house.
Seven on our bed. They sit on a chair for two weeks. When the cleaning lady comes, they get put back on the bed. When she leaves they go back on the chair. Only pull the spread up every morning.
