Hi there,
I'm planning to install HDF in my home in the entry, reception & corridors, this areas are connected only there are two steps between the entry and reception i would like to know your suggestions of colors as i feel that installing the same color for the whole area will be boring.
If you add some pictures it might make it easier for folks to give some suggestions, but generally speaking if you have already decided to use the SAME type material in these connected areas it is probably best to get that material in the SAME COLOR for the whole space.
The advice I would have if you worry about this being "boring" is to use DIFFERENT TYPES OF MATERIAL -- maybe TILE or STONE right by the entry, and HDF for the rest of the areas, or possibly something like CORK in the corridor, but unless this is a VERY LARGE HOME the "busy" look of too many different materials in a space would be a worse problem than "boring-ness" of having uniform flooring. Fact is, most traditional flooring installations often relied on things like hardwood THROUGHOUT a whole residence and very few folks would ever call that "boring"...
