We let the kids handmake decorations for Hanukkah and then hang them in the dining room. We set a Menorah on the table and thats it.
I put my Menorah on my ancient console t.v. which is to the right of the fireplace (see above post). The Christmas tree will be on the other wall. My dad was Jewish & my mom Episcopalian (AKA Catholic-Lite) so we always celebrated both. The funny thing is, Hubby's kids (from his first marriage) their mother is Jewish and he is a recovering Catholic. So, they always celebrated both, too.
Today the massive CHRISTMAS DECORATING begins. My daughter is visiting and she and her four kids will be all in the mix. Thankfully she is also making homemade eggnog and we plan to be liberal with the whiskey as evening falls. I think we'll need it!
We are putting our large tree in the dining room because if faces the front street and there is no other good place to put it. I suggest putting a Christmas centerpiece on the table.
OK, got most of the Christmas decorating done Whew!
I really really love the coffee table 'table cloth', "throw". Im sorry, i dont know what it is called, but I love it.
