LOOKS GREAT!!! Almost the color I want to use in my kitchen. I think I have finally broken dh down to get it done. WOO-HOO!!! At least the wallpaper that IS in there is VERY little and a solid color and people think it IS paint.
Oh, got a new fridge yesterday. Mine was white too w/ everything else black, dark cherry cabinets, dark cherry wood floors, granite counters. The white "blob" really stood out. Went w/ black. BUT, the day before I cleaned off all the magnets and pictures and notes on the fridge. Dh now refuses for ANY to be put back on as he actually LIKED our white "blob" w/o all the stuff. Kinda funny how it does change things. But I LOVE having some pics that are special on there for me to see.........
Wow, sunflower, what a huge difference! Beautiful kitchen! A friend of mine recently had her living room, kitchen, and foyer painted with SW Blonde. It looks wonderful. I really like that color. It never fails to amaze me what a difference paint makes.
That looks great. Makes me want to paint my kitchen now. LOL We just finished up painting our formal living & dining with Sherwin Williams Latte. Once you use their jars, you never want to go back to cans again!
Thanks everyone! This house was full of wall paper and borders when we bought it 3 years ago. I try to redo a couple of rooms every winter. The previous owners did not prime many of the walls before papering, which has caused a bit of a headache. I bought a cheap steamer and it has been worth every penny. I end up spackling, using Guardz sealer(seals any glue left), paint the ceiling, prime and then two coats of paint. It has been time consuming, but feels great when it is done. I still have the dining room to redo and may try attempting it soon. I keep telling Dh that as soon as the last strip of wall paper is off we will end up being transfered and starting over again. I hope that is not the case.
I don't know what people are thinking when they slap the stuff up directly over builder grade paint!
I swore I'd have it all taken down within 6 months, I finished stripping the last of it when we were getting the house ready to put on the market several years later.
