I consider arched, cathedral or raised panel door styles dated. But more than the door style, I really don't like oak. I remodeled my kitchen 13 years ago & had alder, recessed panel doors with a clear coat finish installed.

What are your thoughts on an arched door design?
I see no arches anywhere on this page.

I'm perfectly fine with my cabinet doors being celibate and not reproducing

I chose Oak raised panel but square, not arched. I can't imagine a designer or magazine swaying me on what I want in the space I live in. Some people might not like it but I don't like a lot of stuff too. I'd HATE to be told while shaker cabinets were my only choice...yuuuck!! But you know what? I would probably learn to like most anything as long it was good quality and not an obnoxious color.

I am not sure the pic that was linked to has oak cabs.

If you like raised panels with curved tops, you should absolutely get what you want. These would be traditional in style.
